EXHIBITION 6: Liisa Hashimoto solo show at OHMYBLUE
OHMYBLUE is pleased to host the first exhibition of the Japanese artist Liisa Hasimoto in a European gallery.
From the artist's statement:
"I get inspirations of my jewelry works from walking outside.
Walking around the parks and around the old houses and factories, my eyes always catches something rusty. Rusty tools, rusty playground equipment, rusty ladders etc. I feel the time that has elapsed through these rustiness. And in the other hand I get inspired from nature and something natural, too. Leaves, seeds, buds, and little moss growing around the waterside. I like the organic shapes of these nature and not one of the shapes are exactly the same. I make my jewelry pieces mostly using silver, copper and brass. And all my works are made one by one by hand. I like to make pieces that can make people smile knowing that my jewelry is dreaming as well."
